Our fundraising efforts are to help us build our "Educational Fund." Our Educational Fund is used to reimburse members for their registration fees (or a portion of their registration fees) related to the ABWA Annual National Women's Leadership Conference and the various ABWA-sponsored Regional Conferences.
Additionally, we fund participation in the Business Skills Tuition Reimbursement Program (BSTR) through the Stephen Bufton Memorial Educational Fund (SBMEF) and sponsor an Outright Grant applicant. Read more about these programs!

REMINDER: The American Business Women's Association (ABWA) and the Maryland Capital Chapter are considered Membership Associations under Internal Revenue Code 501(c)(6). This means, although we are a nonprofit association, contributions to ABWA and the Chapter are NOT deductible as charitable contributions. However, speak with your accountant about other ways your contributions to ABWA and the Chapter may be deductible!
