About Our Honoree: Joyce Wright

Joyce Wright has been a member of the American Business Women’s Association for 38 years. Her primary membership is with the Charlotte Charter Chapter but also has a secondary affiliation with Limitless Ladies Chapter. Joyce has performed in all ABWA Chapter leadership positions and is presently serving as District IV Vice President and SBMEF Trustee. She has served as an Ambassador Steering Committee Representative and Co Rep representing District IV. She also served as Formation Advisor for the Limitless Ladies Chapter. Joyce is a Resident Assistant with Friendship Community Development Center and Caregiver. She has worked with the homeless and women in recovery. Her story is unusual in that she transitioned from Office Management to Retail as a Certified Pharmacy Technician. As a result of her passion to help others, Joyce began working in the Charlotte Community with Urban Ministries, Dove’s Nest, and is now working with Friendship Community Development Center with women in transition. She is proud to share this as part of her bio because she believes it is important to understand and share who we are in order to leverage one another’s different characteristics and talents to move important causes forward and build strong relationships.
Join us on Saturday, August 6, 2022 to hear more about Joyce and to honor her for her outstanding dedication to her District and ABWA.

Candidate Fundraising Campaign
Making the decision to pursue a leadership position on the ABWA National Board of Directors is a rewarding experience but it includes financial impacts. Our District is dedicated to providing financial assistance to members who desire to become a National officer.

The BASKET RAFFLE is coming back! We are asking Chapters and/or individuals to sponsor a themed basket. Proceeds will be divided among our approved District IV candidates that have chosen to pursue a National office. We are excited to see how creative everyone's "themed baskets" can be!
Please complete the Basket Entry Form if you are interested in participating in this Candidate Fundraiser!
If you have any questions, please email us at mdcapabwa@gmail.com
