MD Capital Chapter is excited to host the 2023 Leadership and Recognition Luncheon. It will be a day of inspiration, celebration, networking and FUN! This is a district event so we encourage all District IV leagues to join us for this special day.
We are honored to celebrate our District IV Vice President, Juanita Hall. Juanita has been doing a fantastic job representing District IV on the National Board of Directors. This will be our opportunity to show her our love and appreciation for a job well done.

About Our Honoree: Juanita Hall
Juanita Hall is a native Washingtonian and the oldest of three children. She was reared in a Christian home. She is also the proud mother of one son, Dwight. She received her formal education in the DC Public School System. After graduating from Theodore Roosevelt Senior High School, enrolled in Hampton University, Hampton, Virginia and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. Juanita is employed at Carroll Manor Nursing Center in Washington, DC, where she is the Manager for Staff Development and Education.
Juanita’s nursing career has been a rewarding one. She has had the opportunity to grow and develop into a wonderful nurse leader. At Providence Hospital she began her career as a staff nurse and moved up the career ladder to the current position. Educational doors were opened and she was able to receive training and certifications in various areas of the profession. Juanita attended the John Hopkin’s Nurse Manager Academy and also the Ascension Health Leadership Certification Program.
Juanita holds membership and leadership positions in various organizations - American Business Women’s Association- DC Charter Chapter, Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Incorporated, Honor Society of Nursing - Sigma Theta Tau International, Black Nurses Association of the Greater Washington, DC Area, Top Ladies of Distinction, Incorporated – Prince George’s County Chapter, National Association of Parliamentarians, National Council of Negro Women – Washington, DC Section and National Coalition of 100 Black Women – Prince George’s County Chapter. Founding member and appointed Chaplain in Black Nurses Collaborative, Incorporated. Juanita was honored as the Black Nurse of the Year in 2014.
September 2022 elected as the District IV Vice President of the American Business Women’s Association. Juanita is the Vice President of the DC Charter Chapter of ABWA and is the 2016 Woman of the Year for the chapter and in April 2016 was elected as the Northeast Regional Director of Chi Eta Phi Sorority Incorporated and served until April 2021. She participates in the community with these organizations through health fairs and workshops for the promotion of wellness and increase health knowledge of individuals to live a healthy lifestyle and also mentors other young women for success.
Juanita began preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ in December 2004 and was Ordained at the Corinthian Baptist Church – Lanham, Maryland on August 6, 2016. She is chairperson of the Titus II Women’s Ministry, a Sunday school teacher, a member of the Nurses Ministry and participates with the Angel Tree Project sponsored by the Prison Outreach Ministry during the Christmas Holiday season.
